Pokhara Valley is situated at an altitude of 827 meters above sea level and is 200 kilometers west of Kathmandu Valley. Prithvi Highway links to Bhairahawa via Siddhartha Highway (Sunauli border). It features long arrays of world-famous snow-clad peaks, emerald lakes, turbulent rivers with deep gorges, and picturesque villages inhabited mainly by Gurungs and Thakalis. Pokhara offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, the five peaks of Annapurna Himalayas, and others. Pokhara's numerous lakes, known as "Tal" in Nepal, offer fishing, boating, and swimming, including the famous Phewa, Begnas, and Rupa lakes. Pokhara is also referred to as the center of adventure.

Situated at 784 m above sea level, with an island temple in the middle of the lake. It is the second-largest lake in the kingdom. The temple on the island is a two-storied pagoda dedicated to the boar manifestation of Ajima. Reflections of Mt. Machhapuchhare and Annapurna can be seen in its serene waters. Thick forests cover the adjoining southern slopes of the lake.
1700 meters above sea level and one of the best viewpoints. You can see the mountain ranges from Dhaulagiri to Manaslu. The Annapurna range and the beautiful Fishtail Mountain are always visible on your hiking path.
