Terms and Conditions

General Terms & Conditions:

Welcome to Asian Hiking Team Pvt. Ltd. Please read these Terms & Conditions before booking any trekking, tour, peak climbing, expedition, or related services. By booking, you agree to the following terms:

1. Booking and Payment

  • A 20% deposit is required at booking.
  • For Expeditions and international flights, a 50% deposit is required one month in advance.
  • Remaining balance must be paid upon arrival in Kathmandu before the trip starts.
  • Payments accepted via:
    • Bank transfer
    • Online payment
    • Western Union
    • Money transfer
    • Credit card (charges may apply)
    • Cash (USD, Euro, NPR, or major currencies)

2. Cancellations and Refunds

  • More than 7 days before trip: 80% refund (minus non-refundable costs)
  • 48 hours to 7 days before trip: 70% refund
  • Less than 48 hours or no-show: No refund
  • No refund for early departure or incomplete treks.
  • Refunds processed in 2–3 weeks (bank charges may apply)

3. Trip Alteration or Cancellation by Us

  • Trips may be altered or canceled due to:
    • Weather
    • Political unrest
    • Health/safety risks
    • Natural disasters
    • Insufficient participants
  • In such cases:
    • Full refund (minus non-refundable costs), or
    • Alternative trip option

4. Travel Insurance

Clients must have valid travel insurance covering:

  • Emergency evacuation
  • Medical treatment
  • Trip cancellation/interruption
  • Personal liability & belongings

5. Health & Fitness

  • Clients must be in good physical and mental condition
  • Medical certificate and experience may be required for expeditions

6. Risk Acknowledgement

Adventure travel includes risks like:

  • Accidents, altitude sickness, landslides
  • Weather changes, earthquakes, political unrest
    Clients accept these risks and waive liability from Asian Hiking Team.

7. Responsibilities & Conduct

  • Clients must follow instructions from guides and authorities.
  • Disruptive behavior may lead to removal without refund.

8. Personal Equipment

  • Clients must bring their own gear unless specified.
  • Group gear (included in trip cost) must be used responsibly and returned in good condition.

9. Image and Media Rights

  • Asian Hiking Team may use photos/videos for promotional purposes.
  • Please notify us if you do not wish to appear.

10. Governing Law

  • Governed by the laws of Nepal
  • Disputes resolved under the courts in Kathmandu
