Kusum Kanguru alternatively called Kusum Kangguru, Kusum Kangru, Kusum Kang, Kusum Khangru. Kusum Kanguru, 6369 meters, dominating the southern end of Charpati Himal separates the valley of the Dudh Koshi from the upper reaches of Hinku Drangka. Kusum Khanguru peak is a complex, triple, summit, mountain having at least five major ridges and faces. The north face of the main summit is the most spectacular one. The main north-south ridge of Kusum Kanguru forms the border between the Dudh Kosi to the west and the Hinku Valley to the east.

The name of Kusum Kanguru comes from Tibetan meaning, three Snow Peaks. Kusum Kanguru is one of the most difficult trekking peaks to climb.

The first successful ascent of the main summit was made by Bill Denz of New Zealand on 7 October 1981, climbing the southwest buttress (west face), and descending the northwest flank. Denz did not only realize the first ascent, but also the first solo ascent and the first traverse of Kusum Kanguru. Five days later, on 12 October 1981, a Japanese team made the second ascent via the southeast face. 1988 British Expedition led by Nick Mason, John Diplock and Julian Holmes conquered the previously unclaimed East Face.

Asian Hiking Team organize the Kusum Kangru peak climbing as clients demand with affordable price and experienced Sherpa guides of full organizers.
