Formerly known as the Fluted Peak, the first ascent of the Singu-Chuli Peak 6501m by Wilf Noyce and David Cox on its North-East Face and the top section of the East Ridge. Singu Chuli Mountain has proved to be a demanding attempt for most commercial climbing groups that concentrate on Tent Peak.

Singu Chuli is the first summit on the long ridge thrown down from Tarke Kang (Glacier Dome) separating the South and West Annapurna Glaciers. Annapurna South Base Camp provides the best distant view of the mountain. Apart from the original route, most efforts to climb this mountain have concentrated on the face and ridges. Singu Chuli southwest ridge of the mountain connects with Tharpu Chuli (Tent Peak). The terrain between the two mountains is a confusing one and the ridge is not straight.

Asian Hiking Team itinerary up to Machhapuchhre base camp and then cross South Annapurna Glaciers and moraines to reach grassy meadows to a rock overhang which can be used as base camp (4,200m.). We climb through the glaciers towards the north and pass through grassy shelves to reach a ridge where we will set up high camp (4,900m.). From High camp, continue climbing between the glaciers and the flank of the mountain to reach a plateau below the North-East Face. Asian Hiking Team will fix Camp I, on a shelf (5,600 m.) just below the center of the face. We climb towards the right hand, which leads us just below a vertical wall (122m.). We follow a gully on the left and climb steep steps to gain the upper section of the East-Ridge and then to the summit. From the Summit, you can see the very nice view of Annapurna Himal and Fishtail.

Asian Hiking Team mention the itinerary start from Phedi all the way to ABC then summit the peak return on the way through Nayapul. Well, it is also possible to start trekking from Nayapul all the way to Ghorepani than heading to base camp and after the climb ends your trek to Phedi or Nayapul. There are several ways to reach Chhomrung, after Chhumrung only one way to base camp.
