Bold Goal for Spring Manaslu Expedition 2026

As the spring climbing season approaches, a determined two-member team is preparing for an ambitious expedition to Mount Manaslu, the world’s eighth-highest peak. With a minimalist approach and a powerful vision, the climbers aim to make a mark in high-altitude mountaineering.

“Breathing & walking Manaslu Expedition” team plans to attempt the ascent without the use of supplemental oxygen, implementation a pure alpine style that demands exceptional endurance, mental strength, and technical skill. Their objective goes beyond simply reaching the summit, they are targeting a likely world record, highlighting both speed and self-sufficiency in spring seaosn.

Organized with careful planning and a strong commitment to safety, the expedition reflects a growing trend toward lightweight, ethical climbing practices. By keeping the team small, the climbers hope to remain agile on the mountain while reducing environmental impact.

The team leader Mr Mark said we know there are no other groups, very risk and also there are very less change to push the summit in spring but. “We know the risks, but we also believe in our preparation and each other.” The climbers carry with them not only their personal ambitions but also the hopes of those inspired by their journey.

The expedition handling agency is Asian Hiking Team Pvt. Ltd., based in Thamel, Kathmandu. The team is led by sirdar Kaji Sherpa and Mingmar Dorji Tamang. The team leader of the Asian Hiking Team said that the expedition is being organized with a strong commitment to safety, security, environmental responsibility, and achieving a successful summit.

As they agreed their wonders on Manaslu this spring, the teams effort stands as a testament to courage, simplicity, and the enduring spirit of investigation.
