Kathmandu valley, the political, commercial, cultural hub of Nepal, is famed for its natural beauty and history, holistic place. Once a separate kingdom in itself, it contains three fabled cities, Kathmandu, Patan & Bhaktapur. Pokhara offers the magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, five peaks of Annapurna Himalayas and others. Pokhara numerous lakes known as "Tal" in Nepal offer fishing, boating and swimming, which ensure the famous Phewa, Begnas and Rupa lakes of Pokhara. Chitwan national park is home to endangered animals such as the Royal Bengal tiger, wild elephant, the Greater one-horned rhinoceros, swamp deer, and black buck; the other endangered species include Gharial-crocodile, marsh mugger and Genetic dolphin. Endangered birds found in the park are the Bengal Florian, lesser Florian and Sarus crane, more than 30 different mammals, over 230 species of birds and several species of snakes, lizards and fish have been recorded in the park’s forest, grassland and river. In addition to the resident species, several migratory birds visit the park.
