Safe the Himalaya program

Programs Overview:

Asian Hiking Team is not taking a benefit from Himalaya and her beauty; we want to save the Himalaya. We are only one agency who has run every year two times to clean the Himalaya programs.

That is an important question; what is ecotourism? Why save the Himalaya? Why clean the environment and why Asian Hiking Team supports those programs? Those things we support because we want a safe Himalaya and people. If there is no Mountain, no adventure activities and people are dolls.

As an eco-tourist, you decide to travel in a way that shows respect to nature and does not give to its degradation. In addition, ecotourism is a part of environmental conservation, and understanding what the needs of the people are who are local to the area so that you can help to improve their quality of life. It also involves learning more about the history of other cities and preserving the historical landmarks.

Across the high mountain region, air temperatures have risen by nearly two degrees Fahrenheit since the start of the 20th century—and the cold temperatures have warmed up faster than in the rest of the world. In response, glaciers are retreating; permafrost is melting; and weather patterns are becoming more erratic, disrupting previously reliable water sources for millions and instigating more natural disasters.

Today’s talk is all about “green;” that universal symbol of value, respect and concern for the life-sustaining processes and cycles of the natural environment system, of which we all are a part. Those same processes conclude our health and quality of life that we, as humans, can adversely affect and alter by our activities if wastes are not managed properly.

As populations increase, and we become more connected with our environment and each other through global communication, commerce and transportation, that interest also increases. Our desire for a clean environment represents a powerful sense of destiny and hope for the future.

A clean environment is one that is void of any form of pollution and its effect. Hence, it could be an environment that has clean air, clean water, and clean energy. Basically, it is a healthy and safe environment.

Responsible consumption and conservation are ways to solve environmental problems. It is important to recognize, however, that creating wealth and protecting the environment coexist. The environment cannot be protected by conservation alone. Wealth and surplus must provide the resources—mainly energy—to maintain order and keep objects and places clean. Maintaining the diseconomies that supply and demand causes keep the biosphere alive and the built environment functioning. Sustaining a healthy economy is also critical to controlling pollution and maintaining a clean and healthy environment. Without wealth, there are no resources to manage and control pollutants, especially through cleaning. Additionally, the world’s natural resources must be used efficiently and the environments that create wealth must be kept clean.

Asian Hiking Team has organized clean environment programs every year two times in different regions. We have fixed programs every year. In 2019, it was January 5th and July 10th. Visit year 2020 we have a program start on 5th January 2020 and 10th July 2020. 5th January 2020 programs are running in Poon Hill and 10th July Programs are running in Langtang Himal. After COVID, in 2021 we have not any programs. However, in 2022 we are going to run again the clean programs.

On January 10th 2022 Program's motto is “Refreshment after Covid, clean Pun Hill”.  Anyone can join the programs, all the programs are fixed. We use accommodation and meals in local homes or hotels. It is not recommended to bring any food items with you. We use all land transport by local transport and all necessary permits. We provide three time meals and accommodation is included in programs. The people who want to join in our programs need to pay US$ 50 per day. We would provide the plastic bag to collect the rubbish.
