Ramdung (5900m) is situated in the remote upper Rolwaling Valley, outstanding south of the village of Na. It is often climbed in combination with Parchermo (6187 m) and a crossing into the Khumbu via the shameful Tashi Lapcha pass (5760m). The trek into Rolwaling adds to the attraction of these peaks. It is much less frequently visited than the Khumbu region and is a secretive valley which twists and turns, with views restricted by steep forested cliffs, until the valley opens up to superb Himalayan mountain scenery.

Climbing Ramdung by its normal route up the North East Face of the icy dome of Ramdung of ascent, is straightforward, its virtues lie in its splendid position and superb summit panorama that ranges from Langtang to Everest and provides a splendid view of Gauri Shankar. Usually requires two camps for proper acclimatization. Basecamp is positioned below the Yalung La (5,310 m), and nearby Yalung Peak (5,650 m) is an ideal acclimatization climb. A spectacular high camp is normally located on the glacier below the summit ridge.

The peaks in the area were first ascent on Oct, 1952 A.D by Tom MacKinnon, Dawa Tenzing Sherpa, Mingma Sherpa. In 1955 the peak had its second ascent by members of the Merseyside expedition.

The trek starts from Gongar Khola (nearby Simigau) initially goes through the lower valleys flanked by terraced fields, farm houses and forested slopes. The Higher valleys of Rolwaling are inhabited by the Sherpa people who cultivate maize, barley, potatoes and graze their Yaks herds in the higher valleys below the snowcapped peaks. Above the villages of Beding and Na the route comes to the glaciated valleys where lines glacial lakes like Tso Rolpa. After the ascent of Ramdung peak, climbers can cross the Tesi Lapcha pass (5,760m) continues trek to Namche Bazaar on the Everest Base Camp side route. From Namche one can take a side trip to Everest Base Camp or trek directly to Lukla and catch a plane to Kathmandu.

That peak climbing is possible to combine with Tea house/hotel and camping. There are tea house/ guest house available until the Na village. After that, we will provide tented camp with hot camp meals to our climbers/trekkers. We need few days camping, after crossing Tashi Lapche we continue tea house/Guest house trek to Lukla.
