As per the notice published in Nepal gazette on 12 February 2014, the Royalty for mountaineering in Nepal has been amended for foreign and Nepalese climbers as follows.

Royalty for Nepalese climbers will come into effect from 13 February 2014 (B.S. 20170/11/01).
The Mountaineering Royalty has been totally waived to the mountains situated on Mid Western and Far Western Development Region of Nepal for 5 years effecting from 2070/04/01-2075/03/32 (16 July 2013 to 15 July 2018).
Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation of Nepal has expected that the timely amendment in Royalty for mountaineering in Nepal will be the milestone for the promotion of Nepalese Mountaineering Sector around the World.
NMA peaks will also be charged as per the above scheduled royalty fee.
As per the decision of secretary level dated 2071/1/16, the insurance amount for Sardar, mountain guide and high altitude walker is fixed as Rs 15 lakhs. Similarly, medical insurance is fixed as Rs 4 lakhs.
Maximum no. of members in a team is 15.
First Ladies of SAARC visiting Bhaktapur
Bhaktapur a special programme for guests of 18th SAARC Summit has been scheduled on November 27 in Bhaktapur. The special programme has been scheduled for two hours from 10:00 am. For SAARC guests, said Chief District Officer, Anil Kumar Thakur.The District Administration Office has made all the preparations of the special programme for the First Ladies of SAARC visiting Bhaktapur. A team headed by Nepali Congress leader Sujata Koirala will welcome the guests in Bhaktapur. The guests will be taken around to observe the different cultural heritages as well as historical places in the district. Cultural dances will also be performed.
A photo exhibition of major temples including Changunarayan, Doleshwor, goods of archeological importance and dances depicting culture is scheduled to be organised on the occasion. The Madhyapur Thimi Municipality will build an attractive welcome gate at Manohara bridge. Security situation will be beefed-up at the programme venue from Manohara bridge on November 27. Shops only having the pass of administration will be opened. Police personnel and security personnel in plain clothes have been deployed in the district for the past one week. RSS
