Nepal Travel Arrangement

That was brought back many pleasant memories of the trip my wife, Micheal, and I took there in 2012, especially of sites like the Muktinath Temple and the hike up Thorongla Pass in Annapurna Circuit.

Our party included a (then) 74 year-old friend who insisted he could make it up the 5416 meters high Thorong la pass at Annapurna Circuit without high altitude problems. He did, and we made many new friends as we stopped along the way. The Nepal pilgrims were amazed to see for Westerner with such stamina!

My only disappointment with the article was the hassle in airport. When we arrived in Kathmandu International airport, there were many brokers outside the airport and tried to fishing us. It took time to work out our visa and there were three or four airlines land same time so many travels waiting. We could not found our name board easily. Finally, we made the person who came from Asian Hiking Team.

I would have to estimate the cost of a 3-week private tour of Nepal alone at around US$ 5,200 per person, including airfare from Russia as well as some lunches and dinners and site admissions. We worked with Suman of Asian Hiking Team (P) Ltd., GPO Box: 11938, Thamel, Kathamdnu, Tel. No: +977-1-4420858, 9841306857, Email: info@nepaladventuretour.com, info@asianhikingteam.com , using a fixed quote of $ 95 per day after our discussion of the type of trip and accommodations we’d like. We had only 18 days in Annapurna Circuit and were moving every day (except one day rest in Manang); a less stressful trip.

I asked Suman for an updated itinerary at 2012 prices, and he created a trip of 18 days for about $ 1710 per person plus $94 for domestic airfare Pokhara to Kathmandu. International airfare was not included, but Suman’s sample tour includes all Trekking guide fees, Jungle safaris, sightseeing in Pokhara, one days rafting in Trisuli river with visits in Kathmandu sites such as the Monkey Temple, the Kathmandu Durbar square, Buddhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath and Patan city. The hotels (for example, Hotel Marshyandi in Kathmandu, Hotel Himalaya in Pokhara, Jungle wildlife camp in Chitwan and lodge), during the trekking, he said basic tea house but I found some place is wonderful.

We have enjoyed Annapurna circuit treks, Chitwan Jungle Safari trip, Rafting and some sightseeing tours of Nepal using chauffeured cars, well specking guide and would not want people to miss their chance because they thought the price was too high.
