Located in north inner Nepal, Ghale Gaun is mainly Gurung settlement encouraging, unique village tourism and involved society base generosity. The memorial views of Ghale Gau villages are Buddha Himal, Himalchuli and Mt. Manaslu to the northeast, Mt. Lamjung and Annapurna II to the north and Mt. Machhapuchhre and Mt. Annapurna South to the Northwest.

We begin our trip from Khundi and end at the bank of Beganath Tal.Tourist is welcomed in Ghalegaun with traditional dances. Handicraft exhibits and other entertainment programs are also performed for visitors. Visitors can even participate in traditional Rodhi (Singing and dancing) every evening. Trekking to and staying at Ghalegaun is an exciting and enjoyable experience for both international and domestic visitors. There are few Pahuna Gears (guest homes) also which belong to the Aama Samuha (mother group). If you really want a new taste of Nepalese culture and lifestyle, then Ghalegaun is one of the best destinations for you. The villagers welcome you with red tick and a garland. Traditional rituals are still followed during births, deaths, marriages and at other important times in a person’s life. Traditional cultural dances like the Jhyaure, Serka, Dohori, Ghantu, Ghyabring, Krishna Charitra and Jhakri perform on various occasions accompanied by different musical instruments with the dancers in traditional dress. On New Year, Lhosar, Buddha Jayanti is celebrated with a lot of traditional Ghantu dance.

The Ghale gaun lies in the great Annapurna Range which starts from Besisahar around 43 km North from Dumbre the popular stop at Prithivi Highway. Besi Sahar can be reached by bus from Kathmandu, Pokhara as well as from major cities of the country. From Beshishar you can be rolled towards the winding road uphill dotted with the agriculture farm. As you go up, you will see an array of snow peaks crowned with nature and beauty that left you breathless, feeling like all Himalayan giants are lined up for the cameras to get captured. There are a few routes to reach the gale gun. Nowadays, there is a seasonable road directly drive too. Here we recommend trek to Gale Gau and end your trek in Pokhara by catching the Royal trekking path. Day by day itinerary

Day 01: Drive by Tourist Bus to Besi Sahar (800m.) continues drive to Khudi (790m).

Day 02: Trek to Ghalegaun 1800m – 5/6 hours, overnight at home stay.

Day 03: Trek to Ghanpokhara 1 hours, overnight at home.

Day 04: Trek to Baglung Pani (1595) 4 hours, overnight at home stay.

Day 05: Trek to Laxmi Bazar 1300m 5 hours, overnight at home stay.

Day 06: Trek to Begnas Lake & drive to Pokhara, overnight at home stay.

Day 07: Drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus.

Note: The itinerary subject to change as your time frame. It is possible to drive directly from Kathmandu to Ghale Gau as well by bus/Jeep 8–12 hours.
