Tsum Valley or Chum Valley Manaslu treks are a sacred Himalayan pilgrimage valley located in a trans-Himalayan region of Gorkha district of Nepal. Tsum valley is drained by the Shear Khola, which originates from the western glacier of Ganesh Himal and east and southern glaciers of Sringi Himal and meets the Budhi Gandaki at Nyak. Tsum comes from the Tibetan word 'Tsombo', which means vivid. Against the majestic backdrop of the Ganesh Himal, Sringi Himal and Baudha Himal range, this tranquil Himalayan valley is rich in ancient art, culture, and religion. The local people are mostly of Tibetan origin and seek a unique dialect. Trails are strewn with artistic Chortens and lined with many walls made of thousands of stone slabs carved with deities and prayers. The traditionally Tsum valley was a culturally distinct geographical area called 'Tsum Tso Chuksum', which means thirteen provinces ruled as a single territory. The ancient remains of the Tsum Kingdom are still visible today.

Tsum Valley’s acquaintance with Tibet, natural beauty and its perfect culture make Chum valley trekking excellent. The valley is uniquely rich in wildlife, especially the Himalayan Thar and Blue Sheep which congregates in herds of 50 to 200. Tsum valley trek also boasts some unique and historic monasteries, including Rachen Gumba and Mu Gumba, which lie on a pretty plateau nestled in the lap of the valley, and Gumba Lungdang, situated at the base of a conical hill against the main slope of Ganesh Himal. Tsum Valley is newly opened in 2008 for trekking so that there is basic guest house or monastery stay, it is friendly, sometime sleep in Gomba.

Originally, Tsum Valley and Manaslu trek start from Gorkha Bazaar, where the King Pirthivi Narayan Shaha born “the founder of Nepal”, interest to visit his palace and Kalika Temple, but now a day the seasonal road drive to Aarughat or continues for Sotikhola, 2-3 days trekking from Gorkha. It takes be 6/7 hours drives from Kathmandu to Aarughat and one hour drive to Sotikhola. Trekking trails follow the Budi Gandaki River all the way to Nyak, then you need to cross the river and turn right. A one week trek to Tsum Valley and returning to same way to Nyak to catch the main trekking trail to Manaslu. The trek continues to Samagau, Samdo to cross the Larkya La then catch the Annapurna main trail in Dharapani, walk down to Besi Sahar or possible seasonable Jeep drive. It is also opportunities continue trekking to Annapurna Circuit and end your trek in Pokhara. It is also possible to visit the only Tsum Valley, which takes 12-14 days returning same way to end trek in Sotikhola. Day 03: Kathmandu to Aarkhet Bazaar (620m), by Jeep/ Local Bus 6 -9 hours, overnight hotel (B/L/D).

Day 04: Aarkhet to Machhekhola (870m), 5-6 hours, Overnight Lodge /Tea house (B/L/D).

Day 05: MachheKhola to Jagat (1340m), 5-6 hours, Overnight Lodge /Tea house (B/L/D).

Day 06: Jagat to Philim (1,590m): 3 hours, Overnight in Lodge/Tea house (B/L/D).

Day 07: Philim to Chumling (2363m):6/7 hours, Overnight in Lodge/Tea house (B/L/D).

Day 08: Chumling to Chhokangparo (3010m): 5/6 hours, , Overnight in Lodge/Tea house (B/L/D).

Day 09: Chokhangparo to Nile /Chhule (3361m), 6/7 hours, Overnight in Lodge/Tea house (B/L/D).

Day 10: Nile/Chhule to Mu Gompa (3740m), 3 hours Overnight in Gomba (B/L/D).

Day 14: Deng to Namrung (2630m), 5-6 hours 2300m, Overnight Lodge /Tea house (B/L/D).

Day 15: Namrung to Lho (3180m), 4-6 hours, Overnight Lodge /Tea house (B/L/D).

Day 16: Lho to Samagaou (3360m), 4-5 hours, Overnight Lodge /Tea house (B/L/D).

Day 17: Acclimatization rest day in Samagaou, Overnight Lodge /Tea house (B/L/D).

Day 18: Trek from Samagaon to Samdo (3690m), 4-5 hours, takes about four hours Overnight Lodge /Tea house (B/L/D).

Day 19: Trek from Samdo to Larkya La Phedi (4460m) 4-5 hours, Overnight Lodge /Tea house (B/L/D).

Day 20: Trek from Larkya La Phedi to Larkya La (Pass) (5135m.) to Bimthang (3590m), 8-10 hours, Overnight Lodge /Tea house (B/L/D).

Day 21: Bhimtang to Tilije 2360m, Overnight Lodge /Tea house (B/L/D).

Day 22: Tilije to Tal (1700m), 5-6 hours, Overnight Lodge /Tea house (B/L/D).

Day 23: Tal to Besi Sahar (800m) by jeep or bus, Overnight Lodge /Hotel (B/L/D).

Day 24: Besi Sahar to Kathmandu drive by tourist coach 4/5 hours, Overnight Hotel (B/L).
