Chulu Peaks is situated high above the Manang valley west-north from Kathmandu with breathtaking views across to the Annapurna II, III and IV, Gangapurna, Glacier Dome, Tilicho Peak and Manaslu. Chulu East Climb is united with the classic trek around the Annapurna circuit, walking the Marshyangdi valley and passing the Thorong La, before descending the Kali Gandaki valley to Pokhara.

Chulu peaks have many summits Chulu West, Chulu East, Chulu North, Chulu south, Chulu far east and Chulu center.

Chulu East climbing is technically straightforward, and you should be familiar with the use of your equipment, crampons, harness, ice axe, tying knots and handling climbing ropes. Chulu west is long and many mountain terrace so that people are choosing CHULU FAR EAST 6429 m.


Chulu Far east is not technical, but you need to fix high camp and many Kharpas. Chulu Far East is easier to climb for beginners. To climb Chulu Far East is the same process as Chulu east. We need to collect Chulu East permit to climb Chulu Far East.

Asian Hiking Team organizes the Chulu Far East climbing to fix the High Camp and push the summit. The itinerary starts from Besisahar, but now a seasonal road goes to Chame. After finishing your climbing our itinerary brings you Annapurna circuit Thorong La pass end trek in Muktinath and drive to Pokhara. But if you have a short time you can return the same way or many days you can continue to trek to Nayapul or ABC.

Day by day itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu & transfer to Hotel, overnight at hotel (BB).

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu & Prepare for Trip, overnight at hotel (BB).

Trekking Start
Day 03: Kathmandu to Besisahar 800m 5/7 hours, overnight at Guest house/Hotel (B/L/D).

Day 04: BesiSahar to Chame 2713 m, 5-7 hours drive, overnight Guest house/Lodge (B/L/D):

Day 05: Chame to Upper Pisang 3115 m, 5 hours, overnight Guest house/Lodge (B/L/D):

Day 06: Upper Pisang to Trek to Ngwal 3660m, overnight at hotel (B/L/D).

Day 07: Rest day in Ngwal for acclimatization, overnight at hotel (B/L/D).

Day 08: Ngwal to Yak Kharka, 4500 m, overnight at Camp (B/L/D).

Day 09: Yak Kharka trek to Chulu East Base Camp. 4700 m, overnight at camp (B/L/D).

Day 10: Climb to High Camp 5200m, overnight at camp (B/L/D).

Day 11: The Summit day - Climb Chulu East, 6584 m. & return to Base Camp, overnight camp (B/L/D).

Day 12: Spare day for summit (B/L/D).

Day 13: Trek to Manang 3500 m, overnight at Guest house/Hotel (B/L/D).

Day 14: Trek to Thorong Phedi 4450 m, overnight at Guest house/Hotel (B/L/D).

Day 15: Cross Thorong La 5416 m and trek to Muktinath 3800m, overnight at Guest house/Hotel (B/L/D).

Day 16: Muktinath to Pokhara by drives, transfer to hotel, overnight at Hotel (B/L/D).

Day 17: Pokhara to Kathmandu (Fly/Drive), overnight at Guest house/Hotel (BB).
