Trekking from Sallery to Everest base camp is the best way to visit Everest base camp which is short way to go Everest Base camp by driving. Now a day drive to Sallery and trek to base camp is very famous option because of Lukla weather it is not sure flight. Many trekkers are waiting many day in Kathmandu for flight to lukla so it nice to start your trek from Sallery.

Every trekkers who plan to visit Nepal, there first goal is to see the Mt Everest and walking into father of Everest. To visit Everest you need flight to Lukla or drive to Jiri “the old trekking route” or drive to Sallery and trek to Khumbu valley. Everest trek is one of the well-known treks in Nepal.

A one full day drive from Kathmandu you can reach Sallery (265km). The road is narrow but nice and it takes 8-10 hours drive by Jeep. You need to stay one overnight in Sallery and start your base camp trekking next day. From Sallery trek to Nunthala, Kharikhola, Paiya, Surkhe and Lukla. You do not need to go Lukla, the path catch you in Choplung and continues trek to Phakding. After Phakding Namche Bazaar, you need to one day rest day for acclimatization and visit around than after heading to upper part of Khumbu Tyangboche, Dingboche, Lobuje, Gorep-shep and Everest Base camp. Day 04: Surkhe(2290) – 5 hours trek to Surkhe, overnight at Hotel/Guest House (B/L/D).

Day 05: Phakding (2640m) – 4-5 hours trekking to Phakding, overnight at Hotel/Guest House (B/L/D).

Day 06: Namche (3540m) - 5 hours trekking to Namche Bazar, overnight at Hotel/Guest House (B/L/D).
